Multicultural Festival, Canberra 2013

The National Multicultural Festival will take place in Canberra City from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 February.

Entertainment and stalls are due to operate from:

  • 4pm until midnight on Friday 8th February 2013;
  • 9.30am until 12.50am on 9th Saturday 2013 and
  • 10am-5pm on 10th Sunday 2013.

A kaleidoscope of colours, sounds, sights, flavours and fun is set to transform Canberra in February when the 2013 Centenary National Multicultural Festival unfolds in the city centre.

Planning is well underway for the iconic event which unites the community in a celebration and sharing of culturally diverse traditions, dance, food, performances, exhibitions, concerts and information.

Over the coming weeks, exciting announcements will be made about next year’s line-up in traditional and social media sources, as well as our website.

Of course, the centenary festival will feature all the key events and performances it’s renowned for, including: the Food and Dance Spectacular, Greek Glendi, Carnival in the City, Chinese New Year and Pacific Island Showcase.

During the 2012 festival, more than 260,000 people flocked to the heart of the city to revel in Canberra’s love affair with its cultural diversity.

Yes, it’s true, we embrace the fact that our city is one that is built on a firm foundation of multiculturalism.
