Annual Events of CSAC 2015

View 2015 annual events from Cambodian Student Association in Canberra and our Khmer community:

FEBRUARY | Welcome Function + Canberra National Multicultural Festival

1st Welcome Function for new students; introduce new CSAC committee members, residents, and new students; provide support and advice for settling down in Canberra.

Engaged with Cambodian community and pagoda committee to prepare for Cambodia’s participation in Canberra National Multicultural Festival.

MARCH | Academic Sharing Session

Presentation about the emerging issues from crosscutting thematic area. – OR – Academic information sharing on research/ short training on academic skills.

APRIL | Khmer New Year

Assistance to Khmer pagoda (Watt Khemararangsi) of the A.C.T to organize the traditional Flower festival (Bon Phkar Sarmakee), Celebrate Khmer New Year festival.

MAY | Meeting with Ambassador + Multicultural Event at Toad Hall

Meeting with Ambassador; Traditional food and culture show at Toad Hall.

JUNE | Second Welcome and Farewell Party

2nd Welcome and Farewell Party for students.

Academic Sharing Session

JULY | Trip

Make your Winter a chilled one; Spend your time travelling with us.

AUGUST | CSAC Anniversary

The committees reached a one year term; review annual action plan accomplishments.

SEPTEMBER | Academic Sharing Session

OCTOBER | The Floriade

The flower-show tour in the Canberra (student group tour). The association can provide a host and information for other Khmer visitors from other states.

NOVEMBER | The Committee Election for New Members of CSAC

The former members will present the work progress of the year, share lessons learned and proceed with election to elect new executive committee members of the CSAC for coming-year mandate.

DECEMBER | Farewell Party to Graduated Students

Special gathering for the congratulation to the new graduates and wish them a wonderful departure.
